Recently, I went to dinner at this chain of Boston Market for dinner with my two brothers. In the first five minutes, we wanted to leave. The staff was distant at best and downright rude at worst. One of my brothers asked a simple question about the sides, and the server behind the counter condescendingly cited the options available, speaking to my brother as if he were a small child. When we actually got the food, we were even more disappointed. We ordered the meatloaf and two orders of the 'St. Louis-style smoked ribs'. The former was a two and a half inch slab of mush, which required a heaping of salt to bring out anything resembling its intended flavor. The latter made me question if the creator of this menu item had ever SEEN a St. Louis-style rib, much less tasted one. The ribs were three inches long and one inch wide, with barely enough meat on the bone to make the effort of knawing at the over-done pork worthwhile. For sides, we decided on the Macaroni & Cheese, the Bacon Mac & Cheese, the assorted vegetable bowl, green beans and mashed potatoes. Never in my life have I tasted such dismal vegetables. They all tasted as if they had been defrosted some time ago, poured into the bowl, and warmed (not heated, WARMED) under the dull heat lamps at the counter. The carrots were a sickly yellow-ish color, and we agreed to set them aside due to our unanimous disinterest. The green beans were spurned by all three of us because of their mushy consistency, and went the way of the carrots. The Bacon Mac & Cheese was also very disappointing. The noodles were drenched in a white cheese mixture that had become gluey over the time that elapsed since it was made. It could easily have been acceptable if only there was not SO MUCH of the gluey cheese mixture. The mashed potatoes were passable. They only required a pinch of salt to be made edible. The Macaroni & Cheese was the only bright spot of the whole meal. They are a staple of Boston Market, and are truly the only thing I would bother going back for. The spiral noodles were surprisingly firm for pasta that had been made some time before we came in, and the cheese sauce was buttery, but not so heavy that it was overpowering. For this dismal and depressing meal, we spent $40! This was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant and we do NOT anticipate going back until this chain of the restaurant franchise cleans up its act.

This Boston Market has the same great food as the others I've eaten at...but the service here is horrible! They don't seem to know what they are doing...at all. Which gravy goes with which meat selection...I usually end up with several extra gravies in my bag, because another service personnel with come up[ and say, no they get the chicken gravy with mashed potatoes, so they just add another gravy to my bag! (not really complaining about getting the extra! lol). But they really DO need better training here!

This Boston Chicken WAY surpasses the ones I have been to in CT. Two people in particular: Joey and Mary came to my rescue when my car (Lexus) suddenly died. I could not get the starter to work, so Joey came OUTSIDE the restaurant, got the Lexus brochures out of my trunk, looked up the hints to jammed keys and dead key battery, and then climbed into my front seat and pressed the starter button properly, holding it down twice, the 2nd time for longer, while Mary and others went out to put up a cone so traffic behind me would not come in the "drive thru" and have to wait. 2 cars had already come in and both people in the cars immediately behind me were swearing at the help and at me, but thank goodness for Joey and Mary's calm. They were so very helpful, cheery and encouraging!. All I could think of was the stress everyone is under up North and how they would have been yelling at me to call AAA or do something to get my car out of the "drive through". I am so grateful that I live here in Vero and am able to pop over to Boston Chicken anytime I want a delicious home-cooked chicken or meat loaf dinner. and to know that I have helpful attendants there. What a God-send they were. Thank you! Thank you, Vero Beach Boston Chicken. DW 7/1/2013

The food is great and I would of rated 5 stars, but the counter service is so bad, I gave it three. I have been there twice and I will go again, but they don't "get" online ordering. It seems it would make it easier for them since they can get it ready ahead of time and it is pre-paid, but every time I order online, it is not ready and they have to get a Manager! This is really ridiculous! The cashier rang up everything when I had already paid and then the order wasn't ready, so what is the point of telling them to have it ready by a specific time as they state on their express online ordering? I will only go back one more time before I move, but good luck if you order online. The food is excellent.

Okay, granted, this Boston Market is probably like every other Boston Market in the country. It's a decent chain restaurant, certainly a bit better than your average fast food with its homemade offerings of turkey, rotisserie chicken, cornbread, sides, etc. My friends and I used to come here often in high school solely for the mac and cheese, which is actually really good (and as of yet, the only comparable m'n'c I've found is Stouffer's). Pretty dependable.
